Sighting

Before this encounter I was fishing off of the dam or causeway.

Other witness was my girlfriend now wife.

We had decided to go trout fishing at Reesor Lake, which is also located in the Cypress Hills Provicial Park. When we arrived at Reesor lake there were police boats and a dive team on the lake, when asked afew people what was going on I was told the police were dragging the lake for two men who had drowned a day or two earlier, being turned off of fishing there having bodies in the lake we decided to go to Spruce Coullee to fish instead. Spruce Coullee is not far from Reessor Lake When we arrived there was a two or three man crew working on the wash rooms when they left this animal came bounding out of the trees on a path towards me. Distance 400yds but got closer very fast, it covered a lot of ground in seconds, I froze and every hair on my body was on end. This animal must have heard me or got my scent for it stopped and crouched down, that is when I was able to go and get my partner so she could see it to. when we were both watching this animal a very thick fog bank rolled in on the lake and we left for the car very quickly. I have never had that kind of frighting sensation before and have had it one other time while fishing with my five year old daughter in 1998 at same place but no sighting.

Between 7 and 9 feet tall, not to bulky hair was reddish brown took huge strides and looked like it was on a mission, longer arms stayed below the waist slightly bent when it was walking bounding toward me,when it stopped it was kinda stooped over and then crouched down into a squat looking my way then it looked as if it was pulling at some grass on the lake shore.

I feel this animal was attracted by the work crew and as soon as the crew left this animal was heading to see what all the noise was about and his curiosity got the better of him, that is what brought him in the open.

Witness' statement in regards to musical experience: "None."

Witness' statement concerning tracks: "Went out the next day with my grandad and checked for prints but the ground was to rocky and hard and dry. There was nothing showing where this animal had been."

Witness' statemenent in regards to sounds: "The only sounds were the work crew that were repairing the washrooms, they were making quite a racket hammering nails into plywood and pulling nails out of the plywood the noise they created was very loud. We were the only people there when the work crew left."

Knowing this witness through the WCSRO, I give him high credibility when it comes to things like this. His report has not changed at all from the time he told me & reported it to the WCSRO website.

There is nothing new to add to this report, as he didn't have anything else to say on it.

There has been recorded Sasquatch activity in the area of which he speaks, the WCSRO having at least one report on file. When it comes down to my intuition as a researcher, I believe he is telling the truth about this encounter, although the physical evidence is lacking.
