The elevation in Chino, California where we live is 686 feet above sea level. This experiment took place during the hot spell we had in the U.S. this summer. I entered each day’s temperature and the time the picture was taken. Notes and Observations First Day July 15, 2006, 3:06 pm. Branch broken, temperature 104° July 16, 3:26 pm. Still springy, a couple of needles look like they may be turning brown. Temperature 101° July 17, 5:15 pm. Some browning of needles closest to break. Temperature 100° |
