In Search Of Giants-Bigfoot Sasquatch Encounters
By Thomas Steenburg/Hancock House Publishers 256 pp.
Thomas Steenburg, a fellow SRI associate, has been investigating the sasquatch mystery since 1978 and has gathered an impressive amount of sighting data for his new book. His hard work in this field of study has led to many television appearances, speaking engagements and radio interviews. Thomas has corresponded and worked directly with some of the most recognized names in the field, such as Rene Dahinden and John Green, and is very knowledgeable on the subject of bigfoot.
Having spent his life in western Canada, Steenburg lives in an active area that has been productive for collecting and investigating reports. Having been a researcher since 1978, he has collected an impressive amount of sighting reports and has put a lot of time into investigating and analyzing this data.
Steenburg is an accomplished writer and penned his first book, The Sasquatch in Alberta in 1989. After publishing this book, he gained name recognition and immediately saw an increase in the number of sighting reports he was receiving. This led to his second book in 1993 titled, Sasquatch/Bigfoot: The Continuing Mystery. In Search of Giants is his third book on this subject.
This newest book includes reports left out of his previous two, as well as new reports received since their publication. I found this book very matter-of-fact and useful for researchers. It carefully chronicles several sighting reports and details the investigation methods Steenburg used to follow up on them. Steenburg is very detailed in his investigation methods. He keeps careful notes, documents everything, and often records his interviews with witnesses. This focused method of investigation and research has yielded impressive data. He has published his methods and sightings data for us all to read and study.
I would recommend that any serious investigator purchase and study In Search of Giants.
